On June 23, the YFALS Campaign (http://yfals.als.net) will host its second annual DC Corntoss/Cornhole Challenge to raise money benefiting research for a treatment for ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease). The cornhole tournament runs from 2-6 pm at Balance Gym Kalorama (2200 California St NW, Washington, DC 20008) and is open to teams of two players of any skill level. All proceeds from donations and sponsorships from the event will go directly toward research for a treatment for ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease).

A team registration fee of $20 will enter your team in the tournament, while teams that fundraise at least an additional $100 will receive a free t-shirt, food and beer for both players. Tournament winners take home a professional set of boards and bags. There is a $5 entry fee for people looking to hang out at the event and not take part in the tournament. This is what you've been training for all year - the spring flip cup tournament is just over one week away! On Saturday June 2nd teams of 6 +2 alternates will compete for flipcup glory in 4 seeding rounds and a single elimination tournament. After the tournament a game of King of the Table will determine the best individual player.

This event will take place at McFaddens in Foggy Bottom. Check-in between 12:30-1:30 and the tournament will last from 2-6pm. Beer will continue to flow until the kegs are tapped. McFaddens is offereing $5 burgers and $3 rails during the tournament as well.

Players of a 2012 (Winter, Spring, or Summer) sport pay only $70 per team ($10 free agent). Guests can register for $140/team, $20/free agent. This event is sponsored by kickball so kickball teams get 16 free players!
