The registration deadline is March 22, 2012.  We will be hosting a registration happy hour on that day from 6:30pm to 9:30pm at Crystal City Sports Pub.  

The website has now finally been updated.  Woo hoo!  The fall season is coming up soon, depending on the location, your games may start as early as September 13th.  We have 5 cornhole programs available this season as well as a brand new bar quadrathlon program.  We have Tuesdays and Wednesdays at Clarendon Grill, Tuesdays and Wednesdays at Arlington Rooftop Bar & Grill, Wednesdays at Carpool, and bar quadrathlon Thursdays at Carpool.  If you're interested in joining us for the new bar quadrathlon program, Register here.  If you're interested in joining us for one of our cornhole programs, register at http://dcsocialsports.com/leagues/cornhole.

   I just wanted to let you know that registration is now open for the Arlington Cornhole at Clarendon grill. We are having 2 nights, but each night is limited to only 8 teams. This is because we will only have room for 2 boards. So signup quickly before all the spaces fill up. If your team is flexible on which night you will play, sign up for 1 night, and then have your captain email we to let me know. This could come in very helpful if one night gets full while the other still has spaces. So if I need to move any teams around I will know who is flexible of that option.

    So the season went great. We had some weather problems but we worked through it, and I want to thank everyone for that. For those of you that didn't stay for the Championship game, Bag it Up defeated Hole Patrol 2-0 to win their 2nd season in a row. That was a great game by both teams and I think everyone played great during the playoffs.

    Next season will be starting the end of Sept or beginning of Oct. We are looking to expand to 2 night during the week, however your team would only need to play one night in the week. Currently we are looking at doing Tue and Wed nights, if you have any suggestions as to nights that might work better please let me know and I'll see what we can do, but no promises ;). If only one of those nights works for your team, when you sign up let me know, or if either night works let me know that as well. We are going to be limiting the amount of teams playing each night and we are going to only use 2 boards since it will be fall and we will most likely have more rain, therefore we will lose the ally.

How Playoffs will work

Playoffs will be 1 match (just like every week) best 2 of 3, but once you win 2 games, don’t play the 3^rd, to try and save some time. It is single elimination but of course you are encouraged to hang around and cheer on the remaining teams. The winner will have bragging rights and a $100 gift certificate to the Clarendon Grill!! If you have any other questions please feel free to ask. I will have a bracket there for people to follow along with as we go, just in case my list above got confusing.

Next Season

We are still ironing out the details, but this is what I have so far. Next season will still be at the Grill, we are trying for Tuesday and Wednesday nights. The more teams the better so please talk to your friends and if you have a large team, you can always recruit a few more and make 2 teams :) The season will start sometime around the beginning of October, so registartion will most likely open up sometime in August. So follow us on Facebook and on the website for more details. I will also try to send out another mass email if I can so hopefully no one misses anything. This is been a great season and I look forward to seeing you guys again this fall!!

     What a crazy night, power outages, sideways rain, and then the river!!! But we managed to survive another exciting night of Cornhole, thanks for all of your patients and determination to finish the games despite the weather. Hopefully this week will be better. Now we only6 have 1 week left before playoffs so practice, Practice, PRACTICE. The grill will have bring your own bag night Next Wednesday (July 21st) for us so come out and get ready for playoffs. Now everyone makes it to playoffs, but it will be single elimination. It will be a LONG night of cornhole, and games will officially start at 6:30 but if you have one of the 1st games and you can get there early to start, I'll be there at 6pm with the boards setup and we can get started as soon as both teams are ready, but NO LATER than 6:30, thats means you need to already have done any practice throws before 6:30 folks...

    We had another successful week of Cornhole out at Clarendon Grill. This week we saw a few upsets and the standings have changed... Tuesday we don't have league this week because of the holiday, if you or your team wants to come out and play but don't have bags let me know and I will probably come out for a bit as well so I can bring the league bags at least 1 night. But if you have your own bags or just want to come and challenge someone who does, come on out to the grill Tuesday and Wednesday night and play... Practice makes perfect, or thats what we like to think anyways. Just another great excuse to come out and drink with friends right!!

July 10 - Mid Season Pool Luau Party - It's time to get your beach body ready! Save the Date for the best Mid Season Party ever at Capitol Skyline Hotel. It'll be our pool luau party with DJ Chris Styles from Hot 99.5.

June 26 - Beer Tasting & Tubing* - Urban Escapes is partnering with CHASE Kickball to put together an awesome combination of events for  league members. We’ll depart from DC at 9:00 am and head down to the  Shenandoah River where we’ll be outfitted with inner tubes and life jackets. Then  it’s a relaxing tube ride down river, followed by a delicious picnic  riverside lunch. After tubing, it’s off to one of our favorite local breweries where we’ll enjoy a private tasting of five different home-brewed beers led  by the Brew Master himself. June 26 - Capital Food Bank Volunteer *- Last year, the Capital Area Food Bank distributed over 20 million pounds of food and fresh produce  in the Washington Metro Area. CHASE Kickball will help in the warehouse with other groups by sorting non-perishable food into bins or boxes by categories, repacking food, or re-labeling boxes. This will help the food bank by preparing food for distribution to local agencies. We are looking for 10 to 12 volunteers to help out on Saturday, June 26, 2009 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Saturday, June 26 - CHASE Goes Tubing & Beer Tasting. We'll be leaving DC at 9:00 am and traveling via coach bus to the Shenandoah River. After a full morning of tubing, we'll regroup on shore for a catered lunch before heading out to a local brewery where we'll have a private tasting of six different beers (6 oz glasses each) led by the Brew Master.
